Contributes to the development and growth of a Nuclear Safety Culture by communicating the Nuclear Safety message, setting the example for nuclear safety and demonstrating this commitment through words and actions. Provides support to the Division Manager to ensure compliance to applicable policies, programs, procedures and agreements established. Assists in the development of division's performance measures. Monitors, analyzes and assesses performance effectiveness and recommends areas for improvement.
Contributes to the development of the division's business plan, targets, budget and forecast based on understanding of internal customer needs, corporate planning predictions, changing technologies and internal and external trends Monitors the department's performance against established plans, objectives and agreed targets and take corrective
action to minimize variances. Sponsors and actively champions Human Performance program and tools to achieve zero events. Ensures full compliance with the Human Performance program and any associated initiatives. Ensures all reporting requirements with respect to Incidents, Station Condition Records, Corrective Action Plans, Action Requests and Work Requests, are effectively completed and processed in a timely manner.

Specific Functional Area Accountabilities:
Develops various programs and service offerings for the business which provide sound advice supported by data and information to facilitate decision making for various investments or activities within the business environment. Develops, recommends and supports implementation of various confidential commercial strategies for large,
complex, strategic capital investments (Programs and Projects) in support of short term and longer term business objectives. Implements the approved commercial strategies and services to completion which would involve complex
analysis, financial modeling, risk assessments and developing structures under which various strategies can be achieved. Provides detailed background, strategies and recommendation to officers of the company including the CEO and/or executive team members on various negotiations with vendors that are confidential in nature and could have a significant impact on various aspects of the business . Participates in various labour relation issues or
decisions that, if implemented may have an impact on the work force.
Provides active oversight and monitoring as strategies are implemented and executed by the line organization to ensure all benefits identified are maximized or realized. Manages assigned resources and programs, prioritize work activities and ensures the execution of work activities are completed to meet the requirements of the business plan. Manages Contracts, Purchase Orders and Agreements, as required with external organizationResearches and
monitors market changes, supplier trends and impacts and makes recommendations to effectively meet changing requirements. Ensures all activities, including that undertaken by contractors, are carried out with full regard to site licence requirements, statutory regulations, company and location directives, procedures and safety rules. Provides leadership, working in conjunction with partners, customers and other division staff, to plan, develop,
implement, integrate, communicate and coordinate a wide range of strategies, objectives, cost effective standards, training, education programs, awareness and other associated work programs to best industry practice. Plans, implements and controls the associated core business processes in a manner consistent with the management principles and the need for continuous business improvement to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and compliance.

This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of 4 years of University degree (Grade XII plus 5 years) in Honours Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field.
A period of over 8 years and up to and including 10 years of related work experience. Experience in the nuclear or energy industry or other highly regulated and complex business sector. Requires experience with Business Analytics, Procurement Management and Project Management. Ability to think analytically and be comfortable dealing with complex issues that require a logical approach and possess the ability to understand implications of new
development and proposals and to propose innovative solutions. Strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving and research abilities. Ability to clearly present information of a complex nature (verbally and written) coherently, concisely and convincingly, in a variety of settings and to a variety of audiences, including senior management and external stakeholders. Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive
in a complex environment with multiple priorities. A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment
