Job Overview
• Research, complete calculations and prepare applications for permits for current municipal, provincial, and federal air, noise, dust and odour emission regulations. For example, Ontario MOECC Environmental Compliance Approvals.
• Knowledgeable and experienced with air dispersion models including O.Reg. 346, AERMOD, Screen3 and/or CALPUFF, and CadnaA noise emission modelling prepare technical supporting documents for Environmental Compliance Approval applications.
• Demonstrated ability for strong technical writing and clear verbal communication skills to interface with station staff in obtaining information and /or data to complete tour air quality assessments.
• 4-year Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in engineering or science or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of current municipal, provincial, and federal air, noise, dust and odour emission regulations and demonstrated experience in submitting applications or permits resulting in the regulator granting Environmental Compliance Approvals or other permits.
• 5 years experience related to air quality emissions programs, preferably within the electrical generation industry.
• Preference for membership in Professional Engineers of Ontario or relevant professional affiliations.
