Location: 800 Kipling Ave (25% of the time) & Nanticoke Solar Project Site (Nanticoke Thermal Generating Station) (75% of the time)
Project Title: Nanticoke Solar Project
Job Overview
• Supervise Owner's staff and extended project team overseeing on-site construction and installation activities;
• Contract management from the standpoint of identifying potential change orders, changes in scope, changes in field conditions;
• Manage the contract value amount as it is affected by weather, changed conditions, authorized change orders, pending change orders, and accurate quantities completed;
• Oversee on-site Quality Assurance Program, continuous inspection of the construction site to ensure all activities are in line with design plans;
• On-site validation of installation progress and productivity, subcontractor on-site activity, owner supplied equipment deliveries, etc. and ensure proper daily documentation and records;
• Provide on-site technical support to DB Contractor as required;
• Participate or facilitate technical and commercial meetings with DB Contractor and Suppliers as required;
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ten+ years of supervisory experience in a related solar construction industry;
• Knowledge of Solar construction and installation technology and methods for PV Modules;
• Contract law, written and verbal communication, job cost accounting, CPM Scheduling, Estimating contract changes;
• Ability to oversee and present to many employees;
• Working knowledge of equipment and their appropriate applications;
• Knowledge of IESO regulations and requirements for power generation equipment and systems;
