Job Overview

  • Provide oversight of key vendors activities with respect to maintenance planning and execution for Turbine Generator Refurbishment.
  • Provide field oversight of key vendors with respect to field execution of Unit 2, and planning of Unit 3 Turbine Generator Refurbishment, assisting the vendor to complete the field work program, helping to overcome barriers, identifying risks, opportunities, and threats and providing recommendations to OPG and the Vendor.
  • Review CWP's for new work and provide recommendations to vendor and OPG
  • Accompany the vendor on Field Walkdowns of CWPs to validate execution readiness, and report on any potential issue with recommendations.
  • Review weekly schedule and logic sequencing of Vendor prerequisites to confirm resourcing, material availability, and compatibility with Station schedule to avoid any conflicts.
  • Review lift plans for completeness as required.
  • Provide field observations on prerequisite execution and report back to Maintenance Lead on schedule compliance, risks, opportunities, threats and any other relevant data in support of NR Turbine Generator readiness.
  • Attend Plan of the Day meetings, Logic Review Meetings, Scheduling Meetings and provide support in coordinating work activities as required.
  • Review Work Plans from vendor and engineering as required.
  • Look ahead, as required, to the Unit 3 Refurbishment and assist with Scope of Work assignments and creation of Comprehensive Work Packages.
  • Turbine hall cranes upgrade project, technical, maintenance support.



  • Previous OPG experience
  • 10+ years Experience on maintenance of large steam turbogenerator sets, particularly BBC/Alstom design
  • Experience with OPG / Nuclear maintenance procedures, work management, work planning and permitry processes
  • Experience oversighting contractors in a Nuclear environment (desired)
