Job Overview
This resource is needed to perform field oversight of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) contractors for the Darlington Turbine Generator Refurbishment. Their focus will be on the Turbine Hall Crane upgrade, FME oversight, turbine generator bearing/shaft alignment, and unit 2 post-requisites. They will also help prepare for Unit 3 by overseeing unit 3 pre-requisites, and reviewing unit 3 comprehensive work packages (CWPs).
This individual will perform field oversight and technical expertise during the execution of the CWPs. They will also attend and contribute to contractor daily planning and schedule review meetings as required.
1. Extensive OPG Nuclear experience, particularly Turbine/Generator components
2. Knowledge in Passport is an asset
3. Experience in assessing
4. Good communication skills, and experience working with construction trades
5. Extensive mechanical maintenance experience
6. Knowledge in OPG Turbine Generator outage execution and maintenance procedures and practices
7. Knowledge in large generator maintenance, particularly Darlington NGS
