Mechanical Engineer - POSRV


Location: UAE - Abu Dhabi

Duration: 12 months with renewal up to 36 mths.

Start Date: July 1, 2018



Key requirements


  • Review design proposals for ASME Ill Safety Class I components.
  • Review Design Specifications and Design Reports (including fatigue, stress and other analyses) for Safety Class I components.
  • Review design drawings.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities related to identifying and qualifying proposed vendors for ASME Ill Safety Class I components.
  • Perform safety screenings and evaluations based on 10CFR50.59 principles.
  • Participate in trouble-shooting and problem-solving activities related to ASME component and/or nuclear steam supply system (NSSS).
  • Review design change packages related to the replacement of ASME Ill Safety Class I components.


Experience and Qualifications:


  • ASME Ill Safety Class 1 component design and analyses.
  • NQA-1 Quality Assurance from a design perspective.
  • ASME Repair and Replacement activities defined in ASME Ill Section XI.
  • ASME Code reconciliation.
  • Proof concept design activities.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related science/discipline.
  • At least 15-20 years' direct experience in the listed activities in Item 1 above.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the US or similar.
