Instrumentation and Controls (I and C) Engineers

Instrumentation and Controls Engineers

 

Location: Kincardine

Position:  Instrumentation and Controls (I & C) Engineers  (3)

Duration: 6 Months

Per Diem: Yes

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing Electrical and I&C engineering-specific solutions in support of plant design modifications,.
  • Leading design and project activities for analog to digital control system upgrades for process control systems.
  • Preparing engineering change packages, emergent temporary modifications, non-complex engineering calculations, vendor technical manual updates, and performing equivalency evaluations for obsolete equipment and design specification alterations.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering Discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related working experience in the Nuclear Industry
  • Knowledge of power generation and experience in the design and / upgrade of control systems for steam turbine generator systems.
  • Experienced in the major control platforms Schneider, Rockwell, ABB
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Canadian Province P.Eng. in Ontario preferred.
  • Experience in major multi-discipline project teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in Nuclear processes and standards.
  • Knowledge of Candu systems and familiarity with unit power control in a Candu Nuclear plant is considered as an asset.
  • Current nuclear Security Clearance is an asset
