Job Overview
 
Reporting directly to the Site VP, this role will support Pickering Nuclear in achieving its business goals and providing direction to the site through leadership, coordination and infrastructure support, as well as supporting the assessment of site functions and plant operations. This includes the delivery of strategies and programs for: critical performance improvement; organizational learning processes and tools; outage optimization; WANO (World Association of Nuclear Operators); OSART; regulatory/licensing application processes; extension of plant operations, including the management and oversight of corrective actions assuring consistency with the licensing basis and safe operating envelope.
 
Qualifications
 
1. Nuclear Executive with a good understanding of nuclear station operations within a fleet
2. Previous Plant Manager, Director of Operations and Maintenance, or Site Director of a CANDU multi-unit facility
3. Good understanding of the regulatory process for nuclear plant operations and licensing with the CNSC
4. Extensive experience in the WANO evaluation process as an Organization Effectiveness Team Leader and as a Station Counterpart in Organization Effectiveness
5. Broad understanding of the challenges faced by the nuclear industry, acquired via experience as a member of the vendor/supplier community, trade missions and/or multi-utility experience
6. Experience with large projects within nuclear facilities
7. Previously licensed as a Shift Manager/Control Room Shift Supervisor/Authorized Nuclear Operator
8. A Professional Engineer or equivalent experience
